Entrepreneurs have a way of capturing a great idea and elevating it.
On the latest episode of the Inner Edison Podcast with Ed Parcaut, we talked about the potential of seizing opportunities.
We sat down with Paul Baron, the founder, and chief executive officer of The Wall Printer USA.
He shared how one unique opportunity turned into a new business venture and how he helps people build profitable businesses by tackling one wall at a time.
The Opportunity
Great entrepreneurs know what they are good at and stick to it.
Long ago, Paul realized his zone of genius was in sales and marketing.
He spent the better part of the last four decades helping foreign companies grow and expand their markets.
When an opportunity to work with a German manufacturer of vertical printing machines emerged, he was intrigued.
Vertical printing was already popular in Asia, India, the Middle East, and Europe. Still it hadn’t made its way to the United States.
So Paul did a little research and realized that there were only four manufacturers in the world that made vertical printing machines.
In 2019, he inked a deal with the oldest manufacturer of vertical printers in the world.
Since then, the Asian manufacturer has seen tremendous growth with over 50 distributorships in over 90 markets.
Quite literally, Paul is the man who brought vertical printing to America.
What Are Vertical Printers?
Vertical printers print digital images onto any surface.
They can print on walls, ceilings, floors, and even glass! This is great news for businesses.
Signage isn’t cheap — especially when it’s customized.
Hiring an artist to create a mural requires a lot of time and money. The vertical printer saves business time and money.
Vertical printing allows businesses to have customized signage at a fraction of the cost!
Better still, the vertical printer can print digital image quality on any surface and any size.
Does your business need the whole side of a building painted in mural form or a cute picture painted on the wall of your coffee shop?
The vertical printer has you covered, quite literally.

Edison Moment
When Paul first started The Wall Printer USA, it was in 2019.
After a year of research and setting up patents to safeguard customers, he bought a bunch of vertical printers from China with high hopes.
Then, COVID hit!
He was all in with a sizable investment already put into the technology.
So while the rest of the world was laying off workers, he was investing in people.
He needed marketers to help him identify customers who might be interested and explain how to use the product.
He also had to translate materials into English, Spanish, Portuguese, and French-Canadian to meet his market.
Now that was the challenge.
The opportunity was the ability to pause and set themselves up for success.
In August of 2020, they sold their first vertical printer. Now they’ve sold over 75.
