LISTEN TO THIS EPISODE:

Our ability to use our minds and project our consciousness is unparalleled throughout every other species.

Our ability to adapt, decide, and change according to our goals, plans, and dreams separates us from animals.

However, too many people often overlook the power of our minds to affect change in our everyday life. Instead, they settle for a life outside of their preferred way of living.

In essence, people give away the opportunity to live their highest purpose.

On the latest episode of the Inner Edison Podcast with Ed Parcaut, we talked about the importance of using your mind and consciousness to find your highest purpose in life.

We spoke with Kute Blackson, a transformational teacher, speaker, visionary, and best-selling author of the book You.Are.The.One.

He talked about his journey into the field of personal development and his new book The Magic of Surrender.

Experiencing Miracles

As a young child, Kute grew up in an environment where miracles happen daily.

He would watch men, women, and children become transformed by the power of miracles and began to think of them as commonplace.

He experienced blind people seeing.

He saw deaf people hear.

He witnessed people rising from wheelchairs to walk and run.

These everyday miracles transformed what Kute thought was possible.

Where did he see these miracles? In his father’s churches. As a spiritual leader of 300 churches in Ghana, West Africa, his father helped perform miracles for his converts.

With over 100,000 worshippers, his father was considered the miracle man of Africa.

A Heavy Burden

His family moved from Ghana to London due to political upheaval. His father started a church in London with 5,000 converts.

At the age of 8, he began speaking to the congregation.

At 14, Kute remembers his father looking over a sea of followers and saying, “My son will be taking over the church.”

It pulled on Kute’s heart heavily.

While he was honored to follow in his father’s footsteps and was proud of everything his father had built, he knew he had his own path.

Instead of telling his father, he followed his father’s wishes. For four years, he would take over the congregation.

Through his father’s library, he became obsessed with personal development leaders like Anthony Robbins, Deepak Chopra, Louis Hay, Zig Ziglar, etc.

At 18, he found the courage to tell his father that he wanted to create his own path and move to America.

Coming to America

He entered a contest to win a green card through a magazine advertisement. As he saw it, the hairs raised on his neck.

For three agonizing months, he visualized receiving his green card. He even cut out a piece of paper and colored it green, and kept it in his wallet. Every night he put his intention behind winning his chance to come to America.

On the last day of the contest, he received a call from the law firm that submitted his green card, and they told him he had been selected.

With two suitcases and $800 in his pocket, he was on his way to achieving his dream.

Finding His Path

After traveling throughout India, he returned with a focus on helping people live better

He created a system of uncoaching to help people break down the walls of conditioning in their lives and get to the real person inside.

For the past 25 years, Kute has worked 1:1 with clients and created group experiences to help people live their highest purpose.
